Before you go
To reach the Pickaxe you have to get into the prison area. Players describe needing:
- the Small Key and the Prison Key, and
- a torch held in your right hand to burn the spider webs blocking the way (a torch in the left hand won’t burn them).
Where it is
Take the stairs next to the prison entrance stairs down to the bottom. The Pickaxe is past a locked door there. A skeleton archer watches this area from above, so expect to take hits.
Reports differ on how that door opens: one guide says it needs an Iron Rod, another isn’t sure which key it takes. If you’ve solved it, tell us and we’ll update this page.
What the Pickaxe is for
- Breaking yellow goo piles — the only tool that works on them.
